Primary Schools Transport Fund Application Form

Welcome to the application form for the Primary Schools Transport Fund, a dedicated initiative by the Trustees of the Johnson & Mukherjee Brothers Charitable Trust, also known as the Mukherjee Trust.

We understand the challenges school leaders face in securing funding for enriching activities, especially in today's fast-paced educational landscape. To address this need, we've established a fast-track application process that aims to encourage and support enrichment activities in our primary schools.

The Mukherjee Trust is committed to enhancing the educational experiences of young learners, and we're thrilled to be part of your journey to provide meaningful and engaging opportunities for primary school children.

Our fund offers financial support of up to £1000, specifically to help cover the costs of transport for primary school groups participating in one-off day trips that go beyond the normal school curriculum.

Can my school apply?

To be eligible for this funding, your primary school should meet the following criteria:

  1. Funding is intended to support the cost of transportation for school trips (one application per school per annum).
  2. It is available for day trips in the United Kingdom that provide enriching activities and experiences for children.
  3. Applications are open to state-funded primary schools within the Trust's traditional service area which includes Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire.

Our dedicated team will review applications promptly, with decisions typically made within 7-10 days. Please note that this funding stream is designed to complement and not replace the established application process for larger projects, which will continue to be adjudicated on a semi-annual basis. Successful awards will be paid when you send us your transport providers invoice.

We look forward to supporting your school's efforts to provide exceptional educational experiences for your students. Together, we can make these enriching opportunities a reality.
