Chairman’s Welcome

The Johnson and Mukherjee Brothers Charity was formed 30 years ago so we are planning several events in collaboration with local organisations and schools in Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire to celebrate this milestone.

Throughout the spring term we have joined forces with Rand Farm to offer 1984 Key Stage 1 pupils from 26 schools an opportunity to spend time on a farm having fun and undertaking activities linked to the National Curriculum in a outdoor setting.

In March we are sponsoring the Small Schools Choir Class in the Lincoln Drama and Music Festival.

In June we are sponsoring a Singsation event involving 600 children in Crowland.

In October we are working with the University of Lincoln on The Big Green Draw as part of our ongoing relationship with them on the Arthur Ridings Memorial project.

In ecember there will be a carol concert in a Ripon church involving Ripon primary schools. This will be the fourth such event enabling schools to learn new songs and to perform in front of the local community.

We are supporting these events in order to celebrate the fact that over the 30 years we have funded over a thousand projects in Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire schools. These projects have all been of special benefit to the children in those schools and improved the conditions for learning in the interest of social welfare. In addition we continue to sponsor any schools projects bids which meet our criteria and these are considered by the Trustees in May and November of each year.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank all colleagues, trustees and teachers for their tireless energy and dedication to the children of Lincolnshire and North Yorkshire.

Now a question for schools: What do you want from us to enhance your work?
The application form is simple so apply for funds! We want to help but we can't unless we know about your projects.
To those schools which have had successful bids send us your reports and photos so that we can celebrate them on our website.

Best wishes
Moira Rickaby
